F, G and M visas in the US
There are many different types of visas that are available in the US, with each category being specifically allotted to a certain group of people. Only the applicable people who fall under that group are eligible to apply under that visa type. The most sought after visas amongst these include the F, G and M visas. Let’s have a look at what they are:
F visas- F visas are basically nonimmigrant visas, reserved for foreign nationals who want to pursue education in the United States of America. There are three different types of F visas, which include the F1, F2 and F3 visas respectively. There are specific people who come under each of these subcategories and can that visa type is only applicable to that group.
G visas- The G visa is an official visa category that gets issued only to government officials, diplomats, and employees of international organizations, vising the United States of America for a temporary period of time for some governmental purpose. The immediate family members of the visa holder may also be issued a similar visa to grant them entry into the states. These visas are not the ones that get issued to heads of states, who receive the A-1 visa instead.
M visas- This type of visa is reserved for foreign students who have come to the United States of America to pursue their studies. However, the students who are eligible under the M-1 visa can only be those students who have applied for technical schools or vocational schools in the US.
